Lipstick Jungle Star to Make an Appearance on Privileged

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Hey guys! The future of our favorite show Lipstick Jungle remains uncertain with no new episodes being produced. However, with Brooke Shield announcing that the show has not been cancelled there is still a ray of hope flickering in the hearts of the fans. Let us pray that this hope does not turn into disappointment and the series is revives for a few more seasons at least. Meanwhile, I came across news regarding one of the stars on Lipstick Jungle. It has been reported that Robert Buckley who played the role of Kirby Atwood on the show has been selected to make a guest appearance in the final two episodes of the current season of Privileged. Reportedly, he will be playing the role of the editor-in-chief of a magazine where Meg and Will are hoping to work. The good looking guy who played Kim Raver’s shirtless boy toy in Lipstick Jungle will be free to take a spin on Privileged after the 13th and last episode of Lipstick Jungle is aired on 19th January 2009.

Lipstick Jungle has been equally loved and hated by the people. But the announcement about the cancellation of the show has really made it more popular, with the head of NBC receiving millions of lipstick bars in support of the show. The growing media pressure made him back out from his earlier announcement and he later said that he was using a wait and watch policy regarding the future of the series. He reportedly said that he would wait to see how the final episodes of the series turn out before he make a final decision about the show. And now that there is only one last episode left to be aired, I think we should be clear about the future of the series in the coming week. Although many people feel that the series is unlikely to be revived, I feel there is still hope as the show still has some fight left in it. So let us also wait and watch what becomes of this powerful series!

It’s gonna be twenty on ‘Lipstick Jungle’!

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

I know, you must have started thinking what do I mean by ‘twenty’. Okay, let your imagination touch the height of sky and keep on thinking. What… what …. What you said, a new beauty (twenty years old) is joining the star cast of the show…. Sorry man, you’re wrong.

Hey… don’t waste your mind and read what my twenty refers to. Actually, very soon, ‘Lipstick Jungle’ would complete twenty episodes. First eight episodes were aired during the first season and the rest are aired during the second season of show. Last episode we watched was aired on December 12, 2008 and it was entitled ‘Chapter Eighteen: Indecent Exposure’. In this episode, we met Victory trying to decide whether or not to shed her clothes for her band’s new ad campaign. Very soon, she learned a bit more about herself and also her relationship with Joe Bennett. Nico underwent fertility treatments and it resulted in mayhem in her life. After that episode, we’re waiting for the next episodes.

And finally wait came to an end when watched ‘Chapter Nineteen: Lovers’ Leaps’ on January 2, 2009. In this episode, we watched that Wendy discovered that Shane still had plans to go on a tour with Natasha Bedingfield. It resulted in a strain on their marriage. A “New Media” executive challenged Nico’s sovereignty and ultimately her parenthood took a detour. Next episode of season would be aired on January 9, 2009 and it’d be entitled ‘Chapter Twenty: La Vie En Pose’. In the upcoming episode, we’ll see that Wendy would make a bid on a great new project. Shane would be out of town and Wendy would be seen dealing with headstrong Maddie. Nico would land a guest role on the ‘The Today Show’. On the other hand, Victory would try to get her parents and Joe along. Guys, get ready to catch the next episode of ‘Lipstick Jungle’. Well, I’ve marked my calendar and hope you too must have! I’ll see you, after the next episode goes on air, with my review on ‘Chapter Twenty: La Vie En Pose’.
