Lipstick Jungle Season 1

Season One- NBC’s new pack of laughter begins on 7th February, 2008. The pilot episode introduced the viewers with the present scenario of the three important ladies of the show. These are old friends Victory, Nico and Wendy. Wendy being a big shot film executive along with a mother and a wife, is trying hard to create a balance between work and family life. Victory’s successful fashion career has been ruined due to criticism by the New York Times. She’s trying to retrieve whatever she can. Nico is having marriage issues along with a stressful job of editor-in- chief for a magazine. In further episodes, Wendy’s movie becomes a hit, whereas, she’s publicized as a strong businesswoman but a bad mother.

Nico’s relationship with one of her colleagues heats up. Victory is finding it difficult to handle her company left with a single employee, herself. Still, she seems interested in the new man of her life, the billionaire Joe Bennett. Wendy brings her daughter to “Women in Media” luncheon to clear the allegations of being a bad mother. Victory introduces Joe to Nico and Wendy.

Wendy has an eye on an Indian film, but later it doesn’t seem like a money-making project. Still she arranges a premier party and gives Victory an opportunity to design outfits for a star actress. Nico confesses her affair with Kirby to Wendy and Victory. Wendy helps her husband by getting him the job of composer for one of her movies. Meanwhile Victory finds out that somebody has stolen her designs. Later Nico and Wendy go for a business trip to Scotland. The season ends up with episode, “Chapter Seven: Carpe Threesome” on 20th of March, 2008. Here Wendy encounters a pretty difficult scriptwriter. It’s tough time for Nico as she learns that her husband Charles has closely survived of a heart attack. Victory accepts the idea of Joe’s being her boss instead of just a boy friend.
